The main problem with the Shotcut project is the lack of financial resources and funding. As an open-source project, Shotcut relies on donations and volunteer contributions, which can make it challenging to sustain and grow the project. This can lead to limited development resources, slower updates, and potential difficulty in keeping up with industry standards and user demands. Additionally, the project may struggle to provide comprehensive user support and documentation without dedicated funding. **

If your video project crashed on Shotcut, there are a few steps you can take to try to recover it. First, check if Shotcut created an automatic backup of your project. You can find these backups in the "Recent" tab under the "Open MLT XML as Clip" option. If there are no backups, you can try to recover the project by locating the temporary files that Shotcut creates while you work on a project. These files are typically stored in a temporary folder on your computer. If you are unable to recover the project using these methods, you may need to consider re-creating the project from scratch or using any other backups you may have saved. **
